Our work is based on a multi-modality approach. This means that we incorporate medical massage and all other therapies, tools and techniques within our scope of practice, into each treatment plan. All at one price, based on duration. Our main modality however is myofascial release. So, go ahead, book your appointment and describe your symptoms when you come in ...that's it.
Myofascial Release Therapy addresses tight, painful, restricted muscle tissue by applying gentle sustained pressure and slight stretching of the muscles. It is a highly effective therapy, it improves blood, oxygen, lymphatic circulation, improves range of motion and eliminate pain. It can also be less invasive, depending on the area of concern
Neuromuscular Therapy is a form of soft tissue manipulation that involves firmer pressure being applied to the muscles. It addresses underlying causes of chronic pain, resulting from problems such as: trigger points (tender painful areas), nerve entrapment, postural issues, ischemia (restricted blood flow) and other muscular skeletal issues.
Manual Lymphatic drainage is a form of massage that encourages movement of lymph fluid around the body. Lymph fluid contains waste and toxins so when it's not flowing freely it burdens the body and leave us susceptible to diseases. Staying active enhances the flow of lymph fluid. A sedentary lifestyle slows the flow so...keep moving.
This treatment targets specific problems, with specific outcome being the basis for treatment. Client must have a script from a doctor, and complete treatment guidelines must be followed. It can also be incorporated into other treatments.
The origins of Reflexology can be traced back many thousands of years. Many civilizations and cultures have used this ancient form of healing throughout history. It's a science based on the artful application of gentle pressure on reflex areas on the feet, hands and ear. This pressure therapy revolves around the understanding that there are reflex points on the feet, hands and ears that relate to the structure and function of all body parts. Applying pressure "aka finger walking" to these reflex points, using gentle on-off pressure may influence the body in many ways.
